Position Overview:

The Sr Manager of Talent Acquisition will manage the lifecycle of all professional searches at Function of Beauty, from identification through placement. The successful candidate will be comfortable and competent at navigating ambiguity, be a natural self-starter and approach all tasks with a pioneering spirit.

As our first Talent Acquisition leader, you will be responsible for all recruiting and retainment initiatives. In your role you will:

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts
  • Plan, develop, and implement an effective Talent Acquisition strategy
  • Organize and maintain the Applicant Tracking System in Ceridian Dayforce
  • Build and share reporting and analytics tools through the Applicant Tracing System
  • Leverage your relationships within the beauty community and establish strong internal relationships with stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through external digital tools, referrals and active networks
  • Lead employment branding initiatives in partnership with our Communications Team
  • Support the broader HR team on successful onboarding programs
  • Assist in developing and introducing new programs focused on culture and team member experience

What You'll Do:

Full Cycle Recruiting

    • Lead and own full-cycle recruitment efforts
    • Plan, develop, and implement an effective Talent Acquisition strategy
    • Lead employment branding initiatives in partnership with our Communications Team
    • Support successful onboarding programs

    Data and Analytics

    • Organize and maintain the Applicant Tracking System in Ceridian Dayforce
    • Build and share reporting and analytics tools through the ATS
    • Use metrics to drive Talent Acquisition strategy and budget
    • Conduct market analysis and proactively identify trends

    Pipeline

    • Leverage your relationships within the beauty community and establish strong internal relationships with stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through external digital tools, referrals and active networks

    • Effective communicator who can autonomously manage relationships with candidates and hiring managers, high success rate in negotiating and extending offers
    • A problem solver with the ability to develop creative solutions, handle confidential information and work in an agile environment
    • A self-starter, internally motivated, proactive and resourceful
    • An effective time manager, comfortable working on multiple requisitions at various stages
    • Thrive in an agile environment with changing candidate and hiring manager needs
    • A helpful team player with business maturity in a professional setting, willing to roll up your sleeves and partner with team members
    • Confidence to jump in and move on open requisitions with a sense of urgency
    • Strength in developing and implementing sourcing strategies
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to understand/communicate complex role requirements
    • Own and drive processes independently, including looking for areas of opportunity to make improvements, conducting experiments and making successful changes based on data
    • Generate an on-going pipeline of qualified active and passive candidates.
    • Build and maintain proactive partnership with leadership team and people managers in order to understand their business, anticipate staffing needs and offer solutions

    What You Will Need:

    • 7 + years of recruiting experience in the beauty industry, preferably across a range of functions y
    • Innovative thinking to identify new ways to attract and engage a diverse field of candidates
    • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (Ceridian is a plus), LinkedIn Recruiter for posting jobs, Boolean searches, and sending InMails
    • Must be familiar and comfortable using G suite
    • Proficiency in employment visa eligibility criteria for foreign nationals
    • Proven ability to operate in a high-paced, high-growth environment that leverages metrics and performance standards to drive success
      • In-house recruitment experience required
      • Ability to work as and be viewed as a trusted business partner to the organization
      • Excellent communication, presentation, leadership and influencing skills
      • Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple projects with varying deadlines
      • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills
